  1. I can answer a couple of your questions, but not the first one, because I don’t understand it.

1.) The Province of Upper Canada (French: province du Haut-Canada) was a British colony located in what is now the southern portion of the Province of Ontario in Canada. Upper Canada officially existed from 26 December 1791 to 10 February 1841 and generally comprised present-day Southern Ontario. Its name reflected its position higher up the river or closer to the headwaters of the St. Lawrence River than that of Lower Canada or present day Quebec.

2.) The majority of Americans of French descent are descendants of those who first settled in Canada in the 17th century (known as New France at the time), which later became the Canadian Province of Quebec after Canadian Confederation in 1867.

3.) The Parti Québécois (PQ) is a left-wing political party that advocates national sovereignty for the province of Québec and secession from Canada. It is a social democratic party[1] and has traditionally had support from the labour movement. Unlike many other social democratic parties, its ties with the labour movement are informal. Members and supporters of the PQ are called "péquistes" ( /pe?kist/ (help·info)), a French word derived from the pronunciation of the party’s initials.

4.) Henry VII sent him to see if he could find new land.

  2. 1. Beavers were important to the first colonizers, because beaver pelts (skins) were a source of income. People used the pelts for hats, gloves, boots, and coats. There was no nylon or polyester in the 1700s and 1800s.

    2. I can’t answer the question about upper Canada.

    3. France colonized Quebec. Most French were Catholics, and the French who came to the new world kept their Catholic religion. The English were mostly Protestant, and kept their Protestant religion when they colonized the new world.

    4. The Parti Québécois (PQ) is a left-wing political party that advocates national sovereignty for the province of Québec and secession from Canada. It is a social democratic party, and has traditionally had support from the labour movement. Unlike many other social democratic parties, its ties with the labour movement are informal. Members and supporters of the PQ are called "péquistes" ( /pe?kist/ (help·info)), a French word derived from the pronunciation of the party’s initials.

    5. John Cabot was searching for an easy route to Asia. An easy route to Asia would have expedited trade with China. He believed that Asia could be reached by sailing west. He bumped into Canada by accident, just like Columbus.
