having fun with my sister saying that her boyfriend can get a Cnadian Passport evening with a crimial record and i say NNNNo
whos right? me or sis?

  3. You left out the most important information. Is Her boyfriend a Canadian citizen. You must be a Canadian citizen to obtain a canadina passport.

    As for a criminal record, the following is from the FAQ’s on Passport Canada website:

    Can I obtain a passport if I have a criminal record?

    The fact that a person has a criminal record will not necessarily prevent that person from obtaining a passport. We examine all passport applications and establish eligibility on a case-by-case basis.

  4. Is it a misdemeanor? Maybe. Probably not if it’s a felony especially if it’s drug related.
