What are Canadian and Mexican inputs on the visa requirement,,,?
Im canadian and I personally do not agree with the visa requirements for Mexican tourists. I just do not really think its fair for people who want to come for holiday or to visit family. What do you think? That’s just my opinion
Until Canada’s refugee laws are updated, I think Harper had no other choice but to protect Canadian taxpayers from abuses by Czech and Mexican citizens who come to Canada just to get a fast and free check from the government.
I feel bad that honest, hard working Mexicans now require a visa for short stays in Canada, but until Mexico learns how to take care of it’s citizens, they will continue to come to the U.S. or canada for better opportunities. Same goes for the Roma (Gypsies) of the Czech Republic.

Many Mexicans come to Canada on hosliday and then STAY here illegally. Canada does NOT want to have the same huge illegal problems that USA has. That is why CIC have enforced a visa requirement. I think its a good idea.
Right now you cannot do anything to change this situation. But if you run for parliament and work your way up to being immigration minister - then you can get rid of the visa. But if you do, then YOU get to deal with the resulting illegal problems
