Im canadian and I personally do not agree with the visa requirements for Mexican tourists. I just do not really think its fair for people who want to come for holiday or to visit family. What do you think? That’s just my opinion

Until Canada’s refugee laws are updated, I think Harper had no other choice but to protect Canadian taxpayers from abuses by Czech and Mexican citizens who come to Canada just to get a fast and free check from the government.

I feel bad that honest, hard working Mexicans now require a visa for short stays in Canada, but until Mexico learns how to take care of it’s citizens, they will continue to come to the U.S. or canada for better opportunities. Same goes for the Roma (Gypsies) of the Czech Republic.

In fact you should put it away in a safe place at home or safety deposit box and never carry it with you. Don’t ever use it for ID or give the number to anyone. What can we in canada offer a US tourist that they can’t find at home and in most cases much cheaper? Why would they want to come to Canada? Our hotels are more expensive, our restaurants are more expensive and our gas is more expensive. Add to that our higher taxes and a holiday in Canada is less than attractive.
